The first Tree of Life Alexandra painted was a commission for an 'Artists Retreat' at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Since then she has painted many versions of this iconic motif with bird and flower details in oils paints, exploring endangered bird species and plant life. Often using real gilded leaves or meticulously gold leafing the panels to create a warm glowing background that catches the changing light throughout the day.
